Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 annually
We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team in downtown Sacramento. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across multiple facets of property and corporate accounting. You'll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting operational teams, and contributing to strategic financial processes.
Manage Vendor Transactions: Oversee the full lifecycle of vendor payments, including invoice intake, coding, and timely processing. Ensure compliance with internal approval workflows and maintain accurate records of purchase orders and service agreements.
Property Financial Reporting: Prepare and post daily financial entries for assigned properties. Reconcile property-level accounts and ensure timely month-end close processes.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between property managers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve payment and billing inquiries efficiently.
Receivables Oversight: Support corporate and property-level receivables by generating invoices, monitoring collections, and ensuring lien release documentation is properly tracked for construction-related projects.
Custom Billing Solutions: Develop and manage specialized billing processes for internal cost allocations such as payroll, insurance, and shared services. Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow tracking across multiple accounts. CAM Reconciliatons as well.
Budget & Forecast Support: Upload budgets into the ERP system and assist with variance analysis to support financial planning and decision-making.
Real Estate Transactions: Collaborate with the Controller to record and reconcile title statements, land acquisitions, and loan-related entries.
Tenant Relations: Communicate with tenants regarding billing, payments, and annual expense reconciliations. Ensure transparency and accuracy in tenant financial reporting.
Debt Service Monitoring: Verify monthly debt service payments and interest calculations for accuracy and compliance.
Document Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records, ensuring all documentation is filed and accessible for audits and internal reviews.
